If you're a tumblr user, I recently created a blog where I will exclusively be posting my art instead of random things like on my regular blog. It's nice to be able to showcase progression over time:
Nightmare Sherbert @ Tumblr

----------

I'm late on saying this

My previous job as an Associate Game Designer ended, but soon after I was hired as a Multi-Media Technician for one of the studios in the Game Development department at Bally Technologies. It is one of the large casino game development companies out here in Las Vegas, and I can't explain to you how thrilled I am to be working with everyone here.
(not to mention, the pay is muuuch better than my last job, and it's literally right across one tiny street from my boyfriend's job, so we get to carpool most mornings, and share our lunch together)

As a Media Tech, I fit somewhere in between the artists and the engineers. Artists give me PSDs and AI files, I arrange them into the proper templates, renaming the layers according to what our systems can read. Very often I need to cut up graphic files for animation in After Effects, which I am also in charge of. I've learned a great deal of creating effects and making pretty sparking things in AE, which is one of the best perks in my opinion! I love animation and particle effects!

Another fantastic thing about this job is we get to come up with game ideas ourselves, which if the higher-ups like, we get to work on them. While I may be a media tech, I'm also allowed to create asset artwork, as well as paintings, characters, environments - whatever graphics we need - so I still get to be an artist here as well.

It's a much-much more stable job - practically permanently stable - in comparison to my last job. I did love my last job, but it's very nice to see projects completed. It was fun, but I feel we didn't really do much. We were too few and not very well organized, but fun. I miss my ex-coworkers and friends I made there.

Aside from work, we're saving up for a second desktop. When we're done building it, we should be resuming on some fun activities which I'd love to share here, but for now I'll keep it a secret ~
I'll wrap up with that for tonight.

Happy browsing!

Never thought I'd land a job so soon after graduating. Much less one that is actually related directly to my field!
I'm officially an Associate Game Designer.

I wont say much now, but expect to see games my team and I have designed. We're working on some fantastic projects, and I can't wait to show the results of our labor!

I'll be doing more with it in a bit - before this school quarter ends, and before I graduate.

Oh yea, graduating college this summer. May start an internship very soon.

I set up a paypal account - send me a note for payment information. For now, this will be the only way I'll accept payment unless you know me in person, whereas then you can pay me straight up in person.
You are responsible for additional Paypal fees.

I'll have to come up with further detailed instructions. For now, just note if you have questions.
